Taiwan Trip Day 2 : KaoHsiung – Kenting

早餐后，参观为台湾佛教圣地，也是南台湾佛教中心–佛光山。它的规模非常宏伟，扬名全省，创办人为星云大师。
接着出发前往垦丁，它位于台湾南端的屏东县恒春半岛，三面环海，是度假天堂最HOT的都市。
先游览有“东亚之光”美誉的鹅銮鼻灯塔. 接下来是酷似猫咪蹲伏的猫鼻头岩。
逛一逛晚上热闹的垦丁街上，有如“迷你泰国的芭堤雅”,随处可见的艺品店，小吃摊，咖啡馆，海鲜餐馆等等。

CTC tour leader told me in Japan, mostly are good hotels, clean because there is no dirty hotels there. But for other trips (with CTC) I am not so sure, the tour leader is very honest to us and straight forward, we wanted to join their Japan trip next round, that’s why we asked him. He told us not to expect too much for the Taiwan trip, the food overall is sucks, we don’t even bother to take photos for most dinners/lunches, breakfast alllllll cannot make it except the last 2 days in taipei, because it is like our 5 star here but the selection is pathetic. In Japan, food is always food. 
You must always remember, follow tour to “chinese ppl area” always bring you to listen/attend those talk about royal jelly, honey, auspisious items, tea…. waste of time and they only bring you to the selected store ( link with CTC ) to buy sourvenir. I was told in Japan, all items’prices are same and won’t bring you to so many places to buy barang barang, in Japan, the tour leader told us our money will be very well spent on the tour, no nonsense. Even he himself find the tour in taiwan is 
The hotel in
Kaohsiung – 5 stars, corporate hotel, very good.
Kenting – 4 stars, simple
Tainan – Spa resort, very nice
Alishan – cannot make it, dirty and very old
Puli – Flower farm, very nice
Taipei – 5 Star, corporate hotel, very good

Ya ya ya… I joined CTC central jpn trip in Sept last year…. very enjoyable. The year before I joined Chan Brother for the Hokkaido trip, also not bad and very enjoyable too…. think going Japan the feeling is forever so nice as the people are always smiling and very good manners…… buy things no need to bargain cos everywhere is the same price, you dun have to be afraid of being ‘chop”, even you dun buy, they also send you to the door….LOL…. food all so fresh and nice.
Hmmm, I really must think twice before deciding to go twn next year march liao….. haha…..

Yeah, Ben and I will either go Japan/Korea Tour next round, with infant is not easy, still have to pack for wawee stuff.
Australia is our next choice, can self drive and everything goes slow… It is fun to do F & E in Australia. Ben also can drive. In USA and Taiwan, drive left side… a bit tough…

Just my view, personally I think if you decided to go Korea & Japan, you will enjoyed more if you go Korea first then go Japan. If you go Japan liao then go Korea, think you will have that kind of “culture shock”….. haha…. my friend went Japan first and then to Korea, they really dun like Korea cos they said Korea & Jpn is really like “一个天一个地”, while we went Korea first then to Japan, I enjoyed both countries…. haha…..
Ya, Australia is a nice place too…. and can control your own timing when self drive….. But hv to be careful when on the road, as animals may suddenly jumped to the road.
Talking abt holiday always a lot to talk about one hor….Haha….

yaya because we all loves holiday but frankly speaking, I don’t like to take flight/plane. I got this syndrome, whenever I am going to board the plane, sure not feeling well, headache, guddy, nausea feeling all come together. I never enjoy, don’t like take off, don’t like their meals and don’t like decending…. hate turbulence. feel so sick on plane, unless I am able to ZZzzz. whenever I am on the plane, legs surely swell so I have to wear certain shoes/sandals. now so fat got problem putting on my surgical socking which helps in reducing swelling and long hour flight but my tummy big, cannot pull all up…

My ang also have the problem…. so he always had his yellow tablet before he fly. He can then sleep on the plane….. dun know what is the name of the tablet, GP give one….
For me, I just hate the landing portion, normally I will hold the seat very tight… haha….

I will hold Ben very tight..haha…
The yellow small tablets may be piriton, make ppl a bit drowsy then sleep… if not sleeping long enough, may cause drowsiness and tiredness. this one normally treat runny nose but cause sleepiness that’s why some people substitute this to sleeping pills, like Ben.

So how was TW overall? Can share share the names of the Tainan & Puli hotels? We going F&E, got some Minsu websites, look so nice!
Typed a long post on your pack list 2 days ago but dont know why couldnt enter. Anyway, wanted to tell you see your entry and feel so excited for you!!
Next year I also thinking of Korea or Australia! Looks like our travel patterns very similar. But I am looking specifically at Melbourne cos we have been to the others like Sydney, Gold Coast & Brisbane. I wanna see the colourful huts at Brighton Beach

Oh, forgot to tell u, overeall, we ( 4 of us ) don’t like taiwan tour. the food is lousy and stalls are all dirty. Only fruits are nice but fruits can easily get it if go msia for holidays and cheaper. On the bus from day 1 – day 6, we just got the feeling that we are in m’sia, except no malays.

CL, if cover more than taipei area is a bit tough, area is quite big in Taiwan, to get to another place needs at least 2 hours. so tiring…to me la…those nice resort we stayed, there are out of no where, like we went there just to stay one night then the next day, cabut and drove for another 2 hours to reach another destination.
Really must plan well dear… Good Luck, maybe you all may enjoy.. u go during autumn?

Hi Diana,
Was looking through the pixs you posted sometime ago during your last Taiwan Trip. I believe that you must had enjoy yourself there.
I am actually at the midst of preparing my itinerary. Planning to go
early next year. Do you have any itinerary for reference, especially in Kaohsiung & Taizhong?

I did not really enjoy my holiday in taiwan. as it is not F & E, i didn’t do any research at all. just hopped onto the bus and followed wherever they brought us to. I am sooooo sorry that I am not able to help.

Hi Diana, check with you, your this twn trip is by CTC rite? How is the the hotel they provide huh? I joined them for the Jpn trip, not bad, and quite clean, but not sure whether is it only Jpn as I heard hotels in Jpn are generally clean. I joined Chan Brothers to Perth many years back, and the htl is just “horrible”.
