When Asher was
0-1 month : Pampers NB, Pet Pet S, Nepia NB
1-2 months : Fitti S, Drypers S, Huggies Dry Comfort
2-3 months : Huggies Dry Comfort M
4-5 months : Huggies Dry Comfort L, Pampers Active M
5 months : Pampers Active M – L
I won’t go into details about each brands, just a simple table for me to remember which brand to avoid when I decided to buy for our #2 but my conclusion is – Pay peanut, get Monkey
Oh, please don’t get me wrong. Not everyone can go for the high end diapers and going for the cheapest doesn’t make you a cheapo parent, ok? I do agree getting cheaper price diapers when they are much younger due to frequency changing of diapers (>8 each day) but some parents think that their skin is soooo much more delicate that they must die die stick to a expensive brand for better quality (by all means). To me, getting a good, quality nappy cream/barrier cream is much more important. My recommendation? (don’t ask me about Desitin, Drapolene)
5 stars goes to Mothercare
4 stars goes to Mustela
3 stars goes to Secura
(sorry for digressing)Obviously, I didn’t get Asher super duper expensive diapers when he was younger because
1. I didn’t do any research on which diapers are good for babies (buttocks), never thought I will let him wear it 24/7 ! Hahahaha, waste my effort preparing all the cloth diapers.
2. I just used up all the cash vouchers I had to purchase from the shelf. In KKH Pharmacy, there are only Pet Pet and Drypers if I am not wrong, at that point of time, Drypers were OOS so I got Pet Pet.
3. I couldn’t find MamyPoko at Kiddy Palace and heard some good reviews about Huggies, I purchased cartons of it!

Of course, there are some brands I wanted to buy for Asher, eg. Mamypoko and Huggies Ultra. Will definitely write some reviews after using these premium brands diapers. Stay tune !

really depends on baby sizes.
i liked nepia when c was younger… and the pullups because there is a tape for you to fasten before disposal.
pampers pull ups are excellent! love them!
I find that Mamy Poko cutting is wider than Pampers. Do lookout for offer at NTUC for Mamy Poko and Pampers
Hi Diana,
Being using Pampers for my DS since day 1, he’s 10mths now
Bought huggies ultra and petpet but they tough to touch le, so no heart to use on DS soft soft bums
Pampers Twin-Pack Promotion:
$45.95 @ Cold Storage, til 17 Mar
$51.95 @ NTUC…
Let me know how is MP, wanted to try but scare they will be left lying in my store agaom like huggies and petpet!!
Di,
I use Fitti, Petpet and NTUC Brand diapers.
Night wear is Fitti (Velcro tape) & Petpet (Not Velcro tape but is super strong cos one time CK didn’t realised the tape was stick to Caleb skin, so he put it out and you knowthe next moment Caleb was crying cos it’s painful). Both can last about 10 hours then leakage problem set in:p
NTUC brand is for Daywear. Velcro tape and can last about 7 hours then leakage problem set in.
Hi DI,
I tried drypers for Rahul when he was NB n I hated it ! It leaked almost everytime! n i got so frustrated changing the sheets..
Then i tried pureen n it was not so bad but i didnt like the kind of damp feeling on the outside of the diapers cuz the material is very clothlike. Huggies D comfort was ok but i really liked Mamy Poko.. soft, absorbent n the garters r not too tight.. I use Huggies Ultra for Rahul @ night only cuz of his longer sleeping hrs n its just great! its really absorbent but i dont take the risk of leaving it on him for the 10 hrs as recommended on the pkt. scared got rash la.. touch wood! I usu change for him when he wakes up for the a.m feed thats like approx 7 hrs.
Hey thanks for the tips on diaper creme.. i also think a gd diaper creme is v imp!

Hi Diana,
Mamy poko is good too. In fact, as my boy doesn’t have chubby thighs, mamy poko’s cutting suits him better.
But do note that i think the cutting is slightly smaller compare to pampers, if i am not wrong.
