It has been more than 10 years since I last took my brush. I love chinese calligraphic and I used to practice quite frequent during my primary school time. After entering Convent Sec, I only used it during Chinese New Year as I took part in 挥春比赛。

The brush and ink were bought months ago but kept in the cupboard. Finally, I get the chance to use them again. Thanks to Asher’s 2 hours nap. I really hope I can squeeze out some time to attend 书法班。

It’s Lunar 14th day and Ben wanted to give a family treat. The silly wife chose the wrong restaurant ! We wanted to go Crab Party, I chose house of seafood because it was the first on the search engine when I typed ” yio chu kang crab “. Ergghhh

Our first dish is definitely – 发财鱼生！

Yeah, how can we miss the crab? 横财就手呀!!!!

Speech Development

I love talking to Asher. He has eye to eye contact with me and I can tell he is trying his best to send his message to me. As most of you know, Asher’s speech development is slower than his peers.

At age of 28mo, he
- can finally sing ABC song
- can recite Sunday – Monday
- can speak little Malay, eg. cepat, ubat, satu, dua, tiga
- can express discomfort, eg.bitten by who
- can tell me who he prefers, eg. to be fed, put to bed
- can tell me what he prefers, eg. shoes, clothes, food

Indecisive

I’m torn between the 2 cities and I’m so indecisive, if we leave Asher at home, we will miss him like crazy, if we bring him along, we are going to miss everything. LoL !!

The first,
- a 2 weeks holiday
- it’s a lovely place
- cheap air fare
- lots of shopping
- long haul flight
- will be visiting another city by domestic flight (pic 2)

And the latter
- 5 days holiday
- the flight is 1/3
- just right if I wanna bring Asher along
- nice weather
- everything is cheap

Aaarrrrgggghhhh, throw coins?

First we have Leon coming over to visit us. Paiseh for winning all your available 筹码。haha!! Thank you for your abalone, conpoy, mushroom and making us laugh so hard.

It’s the Leo family ! After the kids left, I’m 100% confirm that I won’t want to have 3 children! Salute to my Leo cousin and cousin in law, simply not easy to manage 3 children at a time. Thank you Aunty Shirley for the AP & activity book for Asher.

Lastly, it’s Roy ! How nice to meet all cousins. Everyone seems to be so busy and thanks to cny, we meet up at least once a year. I’m very happy for him for his new job at google but mixed feeling when he told us he is relocating to Sydney, which mean we won’t be seeing him for years after this meet up. Well, we wish him all the best and hope to receive his invites by next year. And thanks for the birdnest, 有心了。

I’ve decided to stop working PT after my assignment ends on 14 Feb. It was suppose to be Apr – July but extended till Sept because the new staff came later than expected. Suppose to rest from Sept – Nov but I continued working because another staff went for operation and before the staff came back after recuperation, another one went on maternity leave! I was told she will be back after 16 weeks of ML, which is somewhere Feb. And then I was requested to come back as another staff will be going on ML from April – July.

I didn’t say okay to my manager but I think it’s time for me to put a stop now. I’ve been working close to 10 months !!!! Oh my, I need a break and Asher needs his mom. With the latest pay adjustment (equivalent to my current pay) and another one coming up, yes, 2 adjustments for this year ( how not to love 2012? ), daddy will definitely stop me from working part time(again), so I better act before he protest.
