We parked the car and on our way to the nearby food market, then we spotted a pigeon, crossing the road but in real slow motion, it was so slow that Asher could walk near and gave it a pat on the body. Ben quickly carried it off the road, knowing it would not be able to escape if any cars drove by. We took a closer look to check for any injuries and found threads tied around it’s phalanx! 4 in total, with some tools at home, I only managed to remove 2, one phalanx was amputated(when found), another one is too tight to remove, the thread was likely to be buried deep in. To be honest, I was terrified to touch it.
Then I applied YL Lavendere essential oil. Amazingly, it walked normally and refused to leave our place until the next day.
We placed food but it refused to eat, it only flew away after a good 20 hours at our patio.
We hoped it found it’s way home. Asher missed it so much and still talked about it after so many weeks.
Pigeon, please stay safe.
