Princess Chloe is 3!

Time really flies, our kiddos were once babies and now, all three have grown up and playing together. Mommy Bren’s brilliant idea of adding these cute figurines onto a already very attractive rainbow cake. Many people complimented about the cake but none could think that this was from neighbourhood bakery.

Happy Birthday, Princess Chloe! May you be pretty, happy and smart! 😘

It has been a while since I last have some moments for myself, I’ve “struggling” almost daily for the past 3 weeks.

Instead of going to spa or massage, I decided to go marketing and got some 韭黄, nothing comes into my mind except 干烧伊面. Another simple meal cooked with ❤️, for my husband and my son.  Dear husband has been asking me to stop cooking and have some time for myself, do nothing but rest, somehow, the more you’re given a chance to do so, you do otherwise to give your best to them.

The Sophisticated 6 – Birthday Celebration Part 3

Our initial plan for outdoor picnic was cancelled due to the haze but we were glad to make to Orchid Bowling. It was his first time here and first tried on holding a bowing ball. He couldn’t get much points, grumbled all evening and pretty impatience, however, at the end of the game, he was able to regulate his emotions and told us,” it’s all right, we will try again!” It was a great evening spent together with extended family, it is always nice to celebrate birthdays with family. 😍

That is the attitude, my son. Happy 6th Birthday🎉, we hope to bring you here frequent and hope you will grow love for this game, maybe you will choose this as your CCA at P3.

P/S : there are so many things he wants to do now, eg: rock climbing, swimming, Taekwondo, soccer, ukulele. How I wish we have more than 24 hours daily.

The Sophisticated 6 – Birthday Celebration Part 2

As requested, we held a small one for him at preschool. The P was very kind and understanding, when I raised my concern over the frequency of therapies needed may interfere with school scheduling, hence I would withdraw him, she was feeling all so sorry over the party he had been talking for months and said we were allowed to go back for celebration. She even allowed us to be back for year end photo taking session. It is just too bad that we have to forgo the year end party. Whenever Asher practices the moves and song at home, that moments, just bring tears to my eyes and I was feeling so sorry for him.

It was a small and simple one. Asher wanted Jade’s little brother to join as well as another 3 K1 children. A short 1 hour in school, we saw how comfortable he was with his schoolmates and daddy finally got to meet his favourite friends in school. Special mention will be this girl named YeeXuan, who loves him dearly and even wanted to buy Asher a gift, however, due to some miscommunication, she didn’t have any with her on that day and she told me she was going to give him a HuG! Another boy named HaoXiang was someone who Asher looked up too, he listened to HX and told us he was the leader in his heart, whenever HX praised him in school for good behavioural, he would tell me. Asher cried badly when HX balloted out during the exercise in Aug at NHPS, YX & HX both are going to PTPS next year.

As for the goodies, daddy reminded me not to buy the same stuff as last years’s,  I managed to get something different. This has been a yearly affair, I would go around looking for goodies for Asher’s friends who celebrate his birthday with him. This year, we have :

  • Fruit yogurt stick (Tw)
  • Jelly cups (Sg)
  • Beach play set (Daiso)
  • Stickers (TaoBao)
  • Orange tarts (Jp)
  • Choco Roll (Sg)
  • Corn Stick (Jp)

He was involved in this year birthday party preparation, we chose most of the stuff and we packed them together.

Last year, I spent a bomb on the party and goodies, the goodies bags for school friends and party attendees were slightly different. I’ll share them on a separate post. (A’s big 5 Birthday Bash)
School kids got

  • Wet tissues (Sg)
  • Stickers (Taobao)
  • Mango pudding (Sg)
  • Raisin (USA)
  • Japanese crackers (Jp)
  • Oreo wafers (Msia)
  • Wonka Nerds Candies (USA)
  • Kiddo Face mask (Jp)

October is always “hazy”. Sigh.

The Sophisticated 6 – Birthday Celebration Part 1

See how spoilt we were, the eggs were not prepared by the mother of the birthday child but the aunt who pampered him a lot!! It has been our family tradition to crack hard boiled eggs on lunar birthday.

A rather quiet weekend in the house because there were only adults and no children. It was Asher’s Lunar Birthday and we thought it would be great to be with grandma and celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. While we thought it was just going to be mooncake and tea on the table, grandma insisted to get a mini cake for Asher and he  chose 2 cheese tarts. Asher was all so excited to sing song and blow candles,  instead of asking daddy and mommy to blow candles together, he wanted grandma and his favourite aunty. For the first time, this boy stopped for a moment and declared he wanted to make a wish too! Super cute, still very babyish to me.

Surprise! Surprise! Someone was munching mooncakes and he could tell us the taste and his preferred flavor. Not too bad, in term of “taste & texture”, he is adapting well and less a fussy pot now. This year, I was so occupied that I didn’t buy any mooncakes, not even my yam teochew mooncakes, thanks to my sisters who got it, I wasn’t left out, next year I must remember to buy snowskin mooncakes for M and hold the gathering at our gardens, let the kids hang many lanterns while we eat mooncakes together.

Oh yes, we even visited Gardens by the Bay the weekend before it knowing they might it be together on the actual day, the kids had fun running and checking out these light up decorators around the gardens.

The 12 zodiacs! Asher had fun singing his zodiac song as he counted them.

Beautiful, isn’t it? I always tell Ben if our overseas friends ask where are the good places to visit in Singapore, it is a must to visit Gardens by the Bay and Singapore Zoo/Night Safari. Wanna visit GBTB this weekend? Check out this : (quoted from singpromos) you won’t want to miss it.
